John Boyega on Woyzeck, Star Wars and… Beyoncé

The actor, who plays Finn in the latest instalments of the ”Star Wars” trilogy, is soon to open in Georg Büchner’s play at the Old Vic

After rising to fame as Finn in the latest installment of the Star Wars saga, John Boyega is returning to the stage to star in the titular role of Woyzeck at the Old Vic.

We caught up with him to find out what's different about Jack Thorne's adaptation of Georg Büchner's 19th century play, how he's coping with his new-found fame and what he thinks about his action figures.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child writer Thorne has adapted the play setting it in '80s Berlin during the Cold War. Directed by Joe Murphy the cast also includes Ben Batt, Nancy Carroll, Sarah Greene and Steffan Rhodri.

Woyzeck runs at the Old Vic from 23 May to 24 June with previews from 13 May.
