Farinelli and the King starring Mark Rylance transfers to West End
The production will play a limited season at the Duke of York's Theatre
Starring Mark Rylance, the play, which recently premiered in the candlelit Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, centres on the relationship between King Philippe V of Spain (Rylance) and a famous castrato singer.
Farinelli and the King, which continues in the Sam Wanamaker until Sunday (8 March), will transfer in September for a strictly limited run at the Duke of York's Theatre.
Friedman also co-produced the West End and Broadway transfer of Richard III and Twelfth Night starring Rylance in 2012.
