West End star Anna O'Byrne is about to appear in the UK premiere of Amour at Charing Cross Theatre, and WhatsOnStage has a first listen to her performing "Somebody" from the Tony Award-nominated musical.

Amour follows a civil servant, Dusoleil, who lives in 1950s Paris and writes letters to his mother while attempting to woo Isabella, who is locked away by her husband. Dusoleil then gains the ability to walk through walls.

The piece is directed by Hannah Chissick with choreography by Matt Cole, production design by Adrian Gee, lighting design by Rob Halliday, sound design by Andrew Johnson and musical direction by Jordan Li-Smith.

Amour opened on Broadway in 2002 and was nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

Its UK premiere runs from 2 May to 20 July.
