Amour musical at Charing Cross Theatre: sneak peek
Amour follows a civil servant, Dusoleil, who lives in 1950s Paris and writes letters to his mother while attempting to woo Isabella, who is locked away by her husband. Dusoleil then gains the ability to walk through walls.
The UK premiere of Jeremy Sams, Didier Van Cauwelaert and Michel Legrand's musical is directed by Hannah Chissick with choreography by Matt Cole, production design by Adrian Gee, lighting design by Rob Halliday, sound design by Andrew Johnson and musical direction by Jordan Li-Smith.
Amour opened on Broadway in 2002 and was nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. It runs at the Charing Cross Theatre until 20 July.
