The new British rock musical runs at the Cockpit Theatre until 22 October

We snuck into a rehearsal for new British rock musical 27 to chat to Arlene Phillips and co and find out more about the show.

Written by Sam Cassidy and co-directed by Cassidy and Phillips, 27 follows a would-be rock legend Orpheus, who is on the same path of self-destruction taken by Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse and Janis Joplin, who all died at the age of 27.

The cast features Ryan Molloy (Jersey Boys), Cassie Compton (American Psycho), Greg Oliver (Spring Awakening) and Jack Donnelly (Atlantis).

They are joined by Lucy Martin, Ryan Gibb, Jodie Jacobs, Maisie Bawden, Eloise Davies, Collette Guitart, Emily Kenwright, Sophie Ayers, Anthony Selwyn, Jason Kajdi, Kristian Cunningham.

27 runs at the Cockpit Theatre from 12 September to 22 October, with previews from 8 September.
