Michael Ball to perform UK solo concert tour in 2019

The award-winning performer is hitting the open road

Actor, singer and broadcaster Michael Ball will be heading out on tour with a new solo concert in 2019.

Two-time Olivier Award-winner Ball has credits to his name including Les Misérables (where he originated the role of Marius), The Phantom of the Opera and Aspects of Love. He also represented the UK in Eurovision in 1992, coming second with the song "One Step Out of Time". More recently he appeared in the West End revival of Chess, playing the tortured board game player Anatoly. Chess was nominated for two awards in the 19th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards.

The 21-date tour will open on 20 April in Nottingham and visit cities including Sheffield, Liverpool, Gateshead, Hull, Glasgow, Plymouth, Oxford and more. The piece will also run at the London Palladium in the West End on 30 April.

Ball's album, "Coming Home To You", is also set for release in 2019.
