Pointless Anger, Righteous Ire 2: Back in the Habit

They shouted. Oh how they shouted. The programme for the show is simple – a couple of expert angry comedians canvas the audience for things which make them angry, and after discussion has taken place the audience vote on whether the anger is pointless anger, or righteous ire.

For such skilled hands as Robin Ince and Michael Legge the format works very well indeed, as they are capable improvisers as well as thoroughly engaged in the task of trying to crack each other up with laughter throughout – as well as being capable of an entire spectrum of anger.

In fact, as the Sami people have over 300 words for snow, so too Legge & Ince are like the Caravaggio & Seurat of being cranky.

It is no surprise that their show culminates in reading a list of their top ten things which make them angry – a list which, at two weeks into the festival, already stands at around 54 items.
