Prince Charles to Visit Bury St Edmunds Theatre Royal
On Friday 4 March, Prince Charles will visit the Georgian Theatre Royal at Bury St Edmunds. With his known concern for architecture and history, the £5.3 million restoration work will be of special interest to the Prince of Wales, though the visit has another purpose.
A rehearsal performance by members of the Ballet Black ensemble and a presentation by local youngsters who are currently working with Dance East are also scheduled for the visit. The Theatre Royal is run by Bury St Edmunds Theatre Management, who have leased it from the National Trust which in turn has leased it from the Suffolk-based Greene King Brewery.
