ABOUT THE SHOW:

CORRIE!

The nation’s favourite and longest running soap is trading its famous cobbles for the Palace Theatre stage with a new comedy play by Jonathan Harvey – now updated to include the recent celebrated tram crash storyline. Corrie!  by acclaimed playwright and long-term Coronation Street scriptwriter Harvey is stopping in Manchester as part of its six-month UK tour.

Corrie! the play, which was written to celebrate the soap’s fiftieth anniversary, condenses five decades of much-loved storylines and characters into one hilarious two-hour show.

It enjoyed a sell-out run in Salford last summer and was a huge success with audiences and critics alike; Coronation Street’s creator Tony Warren described the play as “an insider’s affectionate romp through 50 dramatic years.”

It also scooped the Manchester Evening News Theatre ‘Special Entertainment’ Award.
