The Salon returns, St Helens

The comedy play by Liverpool writer Drew Quayle is making a return to the Theatre Royal in St Helens.

Presented by Regal Entertainments, the new production stars original cast members Leanne Campbell of Juice FM, Liverpool actress Lynne Fitzgerald and Roy Brandon, who has also been in a production of Nicky Allt and Dave Kirby‘s Brick Up the Mersey Tunnels.

Directed by Sylvie Gatrill, who also directed the original production, The Salon aims to bring a laughter line to even the most botoxed of foreheads when it totters into the Theatre Royal with a complete makeover from Thursday 31 March until Saturday 9 April.

Quayle has previously had The Salon produced by Regal Entertainments for the Theatre Royal in summer 2009 and his play was brought to Liverpool when it appeared at the Royal Court for four weeks later that year.

He said: “It’s great to have The Salon back at its birthplace. The Theatre Royal has become a true home, and a leading light, for theatre comedy and I can’t wait to see the show back there.”

The Salon returns for ten performances only. Call 01744 756 000 for tickets.
