Five Reasons To See….A Corner Of The Ocean

Jammy Voo bring A Corner Of The Ocean to the Lowry next week. This quirky show promises to offer audiences something slightly different to the norm. Here, Jammy Voo give us five reasons why you should go to the Lowry to see A Corner Of The Ocean.

1. Expect the unexpected
There’s nothing usual about it. A truly original piece of theatre created by an international company of performers, who all trained at the Jacques Lecoq School of physical theatre in Paris.

2. A mystery…
The piece tells the story of how a man’s disappearance in a diving accident ripples through four women’s everyday lives.

3. Dark humour
and fish, querky re-interpretations of songs from Nirvana, PJ Harvey and the Wizard Of Oz, a person trapped behind wallpaper, a mink fur that comes to life and a man made of tissue.

4. Live music
by Greg Hall with cello, guitar and an original and atmospheric soundscape.

5. One hour long
How better to spend an hour than with stories that might provoke genuine laughter, tears and wonderment? With time still to grab a drink afterwards.

A Corner Of The Ocean will splash down at The Lowry, Salford Quays on Thursday 9th June.  For more information and to book, go to:  http://www.thelowry.com/event/a-corner-of-the-ocean
