That'll Be The Day (Bournemouth - tour)
The show has music covering all eras from the 1950’s right up to Whitney Houston and features a talented cast of multi-instrumentalist/vocalists. Highlights include a superb Shadows medley featuring guitarists Iain Hawkins, Oliver Gray and Clive Fishlock and a great drum duet from Mark Street and Oliver Gray.
As always the pace is fast and relentless, with a perfect mixture of musical tributes and comedy sketches. Many of the comedy highlights feature Trevor Payne and Gary Anderson – a great Bill and Ben routine (aided and abetted by Rebel Dean as weed) and Steptoe & Son , featuring Albert Steptoe (Payne) ’s unique take on ‘My Favourite Things’ (from the Sound Of Music) being particular crowd pleasers. Trevor Payne’s perennial Mick Jagger monologue brings the house down as always.
Once again the talented young dancers of the Hollywood Carrington School of Dance add to the party atmosphere .
The Rock and Roll finale with the entire cast on stage has everyone on their feet, dancing, singing and clapping along.
A great, feel good night out for all the family.
That'll Be The Day plays at the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre Wed-Sat until 15 September
