Benjamin Yates

Benjamin Yates is a London-based English actor who trained at the Arts Educational Schools. Yates has established a significant career across the West End and UK touring circuits, most recently appearing as Scarecrow in the 2024 production of The Wizard of Oz.

Stage and Theatre Highlights

Yates has performed in several iconic West End musicals and acclaimed national tours:

• Jersey Boys (West End): Portrayed the role of Tommy DeVito in the 2021 revival.

• School of Rock (West End): Appeared as part of the ensemble and as a cover for the role of Theo at the Gillian Lynne Theatre in 2019.

• Wicked (UK Tour): Served as the first cover for Fiyero during the 2018–2019 tour.

• Cats (West End & Tour): Played the high-energy role of Mungojerrie at the London Palladium and on tour.

• West Side Story: Performed as Riff and was the first cover for Tony in the 2016 production at Kilworth House Theatre.
