The recent Chichester Festival revival of Tim Firth's comedy Neville's Island is transferring to the West End later this year.

The production, which will star Adrian Edmondson (reprising his performance as Gordon from Chichester), Miles Jupp, Neil Morrissey and Robert Webb, will open at the Duke of York's Theatre on 10 October 2014.

Neville's Island follows the misadventures of four out-of-condition, out-of-their-depth businessmen on an out-of-control 'team building' exercise in the Lake District.

The play was last seen in the West End 20 years ago, when it ran at the Apollo Theatre. It was originally seen at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough in 1992, and was subsequently adapted by Firth as a TV movie starring Timothy Spall and Martin Clunes.

Ade Edmondson is best known for his roles in TV comedies The Young Ones and Bottom, alongside his late comedy partner Rik Mayall.

Miles Jupp is a comedian known for appearances in Rev and The Thick of It; Neil Morrissey's West End credits include Oliver! and Guys and Dolls; and Robert Webb returns to the Duke of York's having recently appeared in Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense.

Neville's Island is directed by Angus Jackson, an associate director at Chichester Festival Theatre where his other credits include King Lear, The Browning Version and Goodnight Mister Tom.

It's produced in the West End by Jamie Hendry Productions.
