Jason Robert Brown performs NYMT fundraiser concert, 26 Aug

Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown will perform in a one-off concert at the Apollo Theatre on 26 August 2012 to help raise funds for the National Youth Music Theatre (NYMT).

The concert takes place the day after his youth musical 13 finishes its run at the Apollo, and will feature Ramin Karimloo (The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Love Never Dies) and screen and stage star Lara Pulver (Sherlock, Spooks, Parade) as well as many NYMT performers.

All proceeds from the concert go towards the NYMT Bursary Scheme, which helps to support young musical theatre talent throughout the country.

As well as 13, Jason Robert Brown‘s compositions include The Last Five Years, Songs For A New World and Parade.

As a soloist or with his band The Caucasian Rhythm Kings he has performed around the world, including numerous shows at New York’s Birdland and Washington DC’s iconic jazz club Blues Alley.
