WOS TV: Theatregoers Meet Sisters at Our Outing

Prior to last night’s opening of Sister Act at the Palladium (See Today’s 1st Night Photos), Whatsonstage.com theatregoers got the chance to see the show and meet cast members at our exclusive Outing last week (28 May 2009).

For the uninitiated, Whatsonstage.com Outings provide theatregoers with the opportunity to get discounted tickets to a host of top West End shows, as well as a range of accompanying benefits, from free drinks, programmes and signed posters to exclusive post-show Q&As and cast meet and greets (click here to see our forthcoming Outings).

At last week’s Sister Act Outing, our TV editor Ian Miller was on hand to sample the atmosphere and hear the thoughts of theatregoers and company members at the post-show cast reception. Click the ‘play’ icon below to watch the film…

Adapted from the hit 1992 film starring Whoopi Goldberg (who is a producer of the stage version), Sister Act features original music by multi Oscar-winner Alan Menken and is directed by Peter Schneider, designed by Klara
Zieglerova and choreographed by Anthony Van Laast.

Following in Goldberg’s footsteps as Deloris is Amercian newcomer Patina Miller, who stars alongside Sheila Hancock as the Mother Superior (played
by Maggie Smith in the film) in a cast that also features Ian
Lavender
(Monsignor Howard), Chris Jarman (Shank), Ako Mitchell
(Eddie), Katie Rowley Jones (Sister Mary Robert), Claire Greenway
(Sister Mary Patrick) and Julia Sutton (Sister Mary Lazarus).
