Bonnie Langford is returning to Broadway for the first time in over 30 years. The 44-year-old star is reprising her role as Roxie Hart, which she first played in the London run of Chicago back in 2006,  for a limited run at Broadway's Ambassador Theatre (30 June to 7 July), prior to a Canadian tour.

Langford, who was born in  Surrey and made her first stage appearance aged just four months, has numerous West End theatre credits include Cats, Gypsy, Gone with the Wind, The Pirates of Penzance, Me and My Girl, Sweet Charity and Guys and Dolls. Her last Broadway appearance was back in 1974 when she starred as Baby June in Gypsy.

At least there'll be some friendly faces around to greet her Stateside – her niece Scarlett Strallen is a Broadway actress currently starring in Mary Poppins at the New Amsterdam Theatre.
