Theatregoers (predominantly female!) at our Whatsonstage.com Outing to Grumpy Old Women 2 at the Novello Theatre this week (19 May 2010) were treated to a post-show Q&A with the show's three stars - Jenny Eclair, Susie Blake and Wendi Peters.

Inspired by the BBC Two series and the Grumpy Old Women Official Handbook, Grumpy Old Women 2 is billed as “an orgy of middle-aged mayhem”, including “a belly full of new grumps and handy hints on getting through these hard times the grumpy way” and “Grumpometer tests” for measuring grumpiness levels. The original live show had a West End stint at Shaftesbury Avenue’s Lyric Theatre in 2006.

All three ladies joined us after the show for a Q&A that was just as funny, if not even more, than the show itself. Jenny Eclair talked about how this project came about while Blake and Peters gave us some insights into why they wanted to be Grumpys. They also told us a little about reactions to the show across the country and their own favourite bits of the show...
