Whatsonstage.com's invite to the press launch of the Lincoln Center's revival of South Pacific - which runs at the Barbican from 15 August to 1 October 2011 prior to a national tour - arrived this afternoon with special guests Bartlett Sher, Paulo Szot and Samantha Womack all expected to join press for an event at the Savoy Hotel. EastEnder Womack had previously been tipped for the role of Nellie Forbush, with Brazilian tenor Szot reprising his Tony Award-winning Lincoln Center performance as Emile DeBecque. Whether Glee's Matthew Morrison will also cross the pond to play Joe Cable - as he did in the 2008 Broadway production - will be revealed on 20 April. Bartlett Sher's South Pacific will commence its national tour in Milton Keynes on 12 October, going on to visit the Palace Theatre, Manchester, Theatre Royal Glasgow and the Bristol Hippodrome before finishing at the New Theatre Oxford on 31 December 2011.
