Cock Reveals Marathon Plans for Williams’ Birthday???

To celebrate Tennessee Williams’ 100th birthday on Saturday (26 March), Kilburn’s Cock Tavern Theatre will present four back-to-back performances of his one act play I Never Get Dressed Till After Dark On Sundays. The Cock is one of the few venues staging work in honour of Williams’ centenary, which has rather been overshadowed by that of another great 20th century playwright, Terrence Rattigan.

Artistic director Adam Spreadbury-Maher said: “Producing these world premieres has been such an honour for us, and to really say the biggest Happy Birthday to this great writer we want to do something we’ve never done before – four performances in a row. What other theatre would be mad enough to this? And of course we’ll finish this marathon with champagne and a huge cake singing Happy Birthday with the entire audience.”
