Photos: New production pics released for Matilda

New production images have been released for the RSC’s hit show Matilda the Musical at the Cambridge Theatre, which is soon to open on Broadway.

The musical, which is adapted from Roald Dahl’s 1988 novel, has a book by the playwright Dennis Kelly, with music and lyrics by comedian Tim Minchin, direction by Matthew Warchus and choreography by Peter Darling.

The current cast sees Lucy-Mae Beacock, Hayley Canham, Chloe Hawthorn and Lara Wollington sharing the title role. They are joined by Annette McLaughlin as Mrs Wormhood, Haley Flaherty (Miss Honey), Steve Furst (Mr Wormwood) and David Leonard (Miss Trunchbull).

Matilda won four Whatsonstage.com Awards last year, including Best New Musical, Best Set Designer and Best Choreographer.
