1st Night Photos: Almeida Open DuBois’ Becky Shaw
Transferring to the Almeida after a highly successful Off-Broadway run in 2009, Gina Gionfriddo’s Becky Shaw opened last night (previews from 13 January) where it continues until 5 March.
Described as a biting American comedy, Becky Shaw has a cast which includes Daisy Haggard in the title role, Billy Elliot‘s Haydn Gwynne, Vincent Montuel, Anna Madeley and David Wilson Barnes, who starred in the play’s New York premiere. The show is directed by Peter DuBois.
Amongst those joining the cast for their opening night were Chancellor George Osborne, as well as Jonathan Pryce, Ian McKellen, Bryan Dick, Angus Jackson and John Light.
