A new director for Watford Colosseum

Tim Brinkman joins from Arts Centre Melbourne to helm the venue.

Watford Colosseum has a new venue director from 2 December 2013. He's Tim Brinkman, who joins after three years as artistic director of Arts Centre Melbourne, where he had four theatres including an outdoor one to seat 12,000 people. Recent programming has included War Horse and One Man, Two Guvnors.

Previous posts have been as director of Hall for Cornwall, director of the South Hill Arts Complex, executive director of the Haymarket Theatre, Basingstoke and a variety of roles, including that of assistant drama director at the Arts Council.

Talking about his new post, Brinkman says: "I'm thrilled to be joining HQ Theatres & Hospitality at an exciting time for the company and to be chosen to be the new director of one of their flagship venues – the Watford Colosseum. The Colosseum has a great track record as one of the country's leading venues and I'm greatly looking forward to being part of building its vibrant future."
