Game of Thrones star cast in Mike Bartlett's Contractions

Rose Leslie, best known for playing Ygritte in the hit TV series Game of Thrones, has been cast in the regional premiere of Mike Bartlett's Contractions, which opens at the Sheffield Crucible Studio on 23 June.

Directed by Lisa Blair with design by Fly Davis, Contractions is a dark comedy about intrusion, management and ever-decreasing privacy.

Leslie will play Emma, a saleswoman doing well in her new job, until she starts seeing a colleague and her manager, played by Sara Stewart (Sugar Rush) asks her to a meeting.

Bartlett is an Olivier Award-winning playwright with previous credits including Chariots of Fire, Bull and the smash hit King Charles III. His work for television includes the award-winning BBC drama Dr Foster.

Contractions runs in the Sheffield Crucible Studio from 27 June to 16 July.
