In pictures: Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Michael Ball at Everybody's Talking About Jamie

Images have been released of the cast of Everybody's Talking About Jamie celebrating with stars at the opening night of the production.

The new musical is written by Dan Gillespie Sells and Tom MacRae and is inspired by the true story of Jamie Campbell, who was featured in a BBC Three documentary when he was still at school because he had ambitions of being a drag queen.

The real Jamie Campbell appeared at the opening night alongside other stars including Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Michael Ball and Haydn Gwynne.

WhatsOnStage reviewed the show, giving it four stars and saying that the 'score is a bona fide toe-tapper'.

Everybody's Talking About Jamie runs at Sheffield Crucible until 25 February.
