Exclusive first look at The Shawshank Redemption

Production images from the UK tour of The Shawshank Redemption have been released. The show, directed by David Esbjornson, opened at the Theatre Royal, Windsor last week.

The production stars Ian Kelsey as Andy Dufresne and Patrick Robinson as Ellis 'Red' Redding.

Based on Stephen King's 1982 novella, Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption, the play examines desperation, injustice, friendship and hope behind the bars of a maximum security facility.

The Shawshank Redemption is currently running at the Theatre Royal in Windsor until 29 August, after which it will tour to Leeds, Brighton, Richmond, Bath, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Newcastle, Norwich, Cheltenham, Woking, Milton Keynes and Cardiff.
