Max Irons, son of Jeremy Irons, with whom he starred in 2004 film Being Julia, will be making his London stage debut next month in Artist Descending A Staircase. Running at Islington’s Old Red Lion from 1-31 December, Tom Stoppard’s classic comedy is an homage to 20th century art, from the brilliant to the absurd. Irons will star alongside veteran actor Edward Petherbridge who created the role of Guildenstern in Stoppard's Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead.
Who Wants To Be A
Also to be revived this December is Cole Porter’s High Society. A West-End cast heads Upstairs at the Gatehouse from 18 December to 31 January to bring the sparkling story of socialite Tracy Lord and her suitors to life. The original film featured Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly and Frank Sinatra singing songs including ‘True Love’ and ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’. John Plews directs this revival with Billy Elliot choreographer Lee Proud and Oli Jackson from Chicago’s musical team.
