The Scoop to Host Twist on Romeo and Juliet, for Free

The Pantaloons, a small travelling theatre company of five, is stopping by the Scoop at More London to perform their variation of Romeo and Juliet (26 – 31 May). As part of a larger summer tour of the classic Shakespearian play, The Pantaloons will grace central London, offering free admission to the show.

The outdoor venue in London Bridge is set to host the week long-run in its outdoor amphitheatre which can seat an audience of up to 800.

The Pantaloons aims to put a unique twist on the tale of two ill-fated lovers with its addition of contemporary references, musical accompaniment, audience participation, and fat suits and custard pies – a favourite among the younger crowd.

The touring company has been travelling through English countryside and cities since 2004, affording five-star entertainment to the public entirely for free. Previous performances include A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Winter’s Tale and Cymbeline.

Other venues on the tour include Preston Park Brighton (23-25 May), Royal Botanical Gardens Sheffield (6-9 August), and Rowntree Park York (19-22 August).
