First ever Teletubbies stage show to tour the UK

Tellytubbyland will be coming to stages across the UK later this year

The Teletubbies will star in their first ever live show which will embark on a UK tour later this year.

Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po will all appear in Big Hugs which will explore the world of Teletubbyland, with special appearances from the Tubby Phone, Noo-Noo and Sun Baby along the way.

Created for young children by Richard Lewis (Peppa Pig Live), the show will include features from the classic TV show, as well as brand new songs by BAFTA award-winning composer Mani Svavarsson.

The production will open on 17 November at Manchester Palace before touring to Billingham (22 and 23 November), Carlisle (26 November), Llandudno (24 and 25 January 2018), Dunstable (31 January to 1 February), Wellingborough (3 and 4 February), Birmingham (7 and 8 February), Dublin (17 and 18 February), St Helen’s Theatre Royal (24 and 25 February) and Nottingham (2 to 3 March) with further dates to be announced.

Teletubbies was created by Anne Wood and Andrew Davenport in 1997 and has won a number of BAFTA awards, as well as earning two Daytime Emmy nominations and a UK number one single.
