The Kinks musical Sunny Afternoon is to end its run in the West End.

Sunny Afternoon will close on 29 October this year, after two years at the Harold Pinter Theatre. The musical, which tells the story of band The Kinks and lead singer Ray Davies, originated at the Hampstead Theatre in 2014. It has a book from Joe Penhall and features songs such as "You Really Got Me", "Waterloo Sunset" and "Lola".

The show won four Olivier Awards in 2015, bagging Best New Musical. Davies won for Outstanding Achievement in Music.

A national tour of the show will begin at the Manchester Opera House in August this year.

Sunny Afternoon runs at the Harold Pinter Theatre until 29 October.
