Lindsey Ferrentino’s play gets its European premiere at the National in March

Images have been released showing Kate Fleetwood and Kris Marshall rehearsing for the European premiere of Ugly Lies the Bone.

Lindsey Ferrentino’s play is about injured soldier Jess (Fleetwood) who returns home to Florida after three months in Afghanistan. Upon her return, she uses virtual reality to build a new home.

The cast also includes Ralf Little (Dead Funny), Buffy Davis (The Archers) and Olivia Darnley (Twelfth Night).

The play will be directed by Indhu Rubasingham and will open at the Lyttelton on 1 March.

Ugly Lies the Bone will open at the National Theatre on 1 March, with previews from 22 February.
