The cast of Bakkhai celebrated opening night at the Almeida Theatre last night.

Ben Whishaw made his Almeida debut as Dionysos and Bertie Carvel returned to the venue as Pentheus in James Macdonald's production.

Bakkhai features design by Antony McDonald, light by Peter Mumford, sound by Paul Arditti, composition by Orlando Gough and musical direction by Lindy Tennent-Brown.
