Nominations open for 15th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards

The original audience-voted theatre awards celebrates its 15th anniversary – what are your favourites of the past year in theatre?

We can hardly believe it's that time of year again already! That's right, the 15th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards – which marks the anniversary of the original theatre awards voted for by the audience – are open for nominations today (31 October 2014).

To take part, all you have to do is visit the awards website and register your favourite performers, creatives and shows across 20 categories. All professional productions which opened in London between 1 December 2013 and 30 November 2014 are eligible for nomination, with dedicated categories for Off-West End and Regional.

The full WhatsOnStage Awards shortlists will be announced on Friday 5 December 2014 at our Launch Party at Cafe de Paris in the heart of the West End. This marks the opening of the final voting stage, with winners being announced at the legendary annual Awards Concert, held this year on 15 February 2015 (further details coming soon).

You can submit nominations at any time until 30 November, in as many categories as you choose, but please remember you can only submit them once, so make it count!

Official Charity of the WhatsOnStage Awards

This year WhatsOnStage continues its support of The Big Issue Foundation as the returnee official charity of the WhatsOnStage Awards. The Big Issue Foundation is a charitable organisation which helps the The Big Issue magazine's vendors take their next steps off the street.

During the partnership The Big Issue Foundation is hosting Stage Swap, and many West End performers (including Alison Steadman, pictured) have already taken the chance to swap the stage for the street and joined our vendors to sell the magazine. There will also be a chance for people to bid in a theatre themed auction event during the Awards vote.

If you would like to support The Big Issue Foundation by making a donation, please visit their website to make a donation.
