John Barrowman and Scarlett Strallen join cast of Disney's Broadway Hits at Royal Albert Hall

Casting has been announced for the European premiere of Disney’s Broadway Hits at the Royal Albert Hall next month.

John Barrowman (La Cage aux Folles) will lead the cast as the performing emcee, alongside the likes of Scarlett Strallen (A Chorus Line), Ashley Brown (Mary Poppins on Broadway) and Merle Dandridge (Aida and Tarzan on Broadway).

The show, which celebrates over two decades of Disney shows, will feature Oscar-winning composer and performer Alan Menken and a host of West End and Broadway stars, including the West End cast of Aladdin

The event sold out in minutes when it went on sale in July, but further allocation has now been released.

Other acts lined-up to perform in the one off event include Alton Fitzgerald White (The Lion King on Broadway) and Josh Strickland (Tarzan). Music will come from the BBC Concert Orchestra, under the baton of Keith Lockhart.

Disney’s Broadway Hits plays the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 23 October.
