Grounded returns in Christopher Haydon's final Gate season

The hit production of Grounded will return to the Gate Theatre as part of Christopher Haydon's final season as artistic director.
Lucy Ellinson will reprise her role as the pilot in the piece which will run for a month in February 2017. The play is George Brant's visceral exploration of the life and mind of a woman drone fighter pilot.
Elsewhere in the season, Danai Gurira's play The Convert receives its European premiere following the run of her piece Eclipsed in 2015. The play will be directed by Haydon and is set in 1896 in Rhodesia where Jekesai has been given a new name by the Roman Catholic teacher of the region. The show runs 12 January to 11 February.
Elsewhere, Lynette Linton will direct the world premiere of Assata Taught Me, the debut play by Kalungi Ssebandeke, about a friendship between a former Black Panter and the FBI's most wanted woman. Assata Taught Me will run from 4 to 27 May.
The Welsh College of Music and Drama also take up their usual week-long residence and stage a series of new plays from writers including Alison Carr, Simon Longman, Eve Leigh and Conor Mitchell.
