George Maguire to star in UK premiere of Another Night Before Christmas

The festive musical will also feature the voices of ”Wicked”’s Rachel Tucker and Oliver Tompsett

A new Christmas musical will get its UK premere at the Bridge House Theatre in Penge this November.

Another Night Before Christmas will star George Maguire (Sunny Afternoon) and Rachael Wooding (Britain's Got Talent), and tells the story of a 30-something overworked social worker on Christmas Eve. On the way home from her Christmas party, she gives a a bag of party food to a homeless man who later turns up in her flat.

It will also feature the voices of Wicked's Rachel Tucker and Oliver Tompsett.

Directed by Guy Retallack (Thrill Me: The Leopold & Loeb Story), the musical has a book and lyrics by Sean Grennan and music by Leah Okimoto. It will open on 29 November.

The musical had its world premiere in Kansas City, Missouri in 2007 with a number of productions around the US in the following years.
