Gate Theatre appoints Ruth Hawkins as producer

The Gate Theatre has announced that Ruth Hawkins is to become the venue's producer, working alongside artistic director Christopher Haydon and executive director Clare Slater.

Hawkins, who has previously worked at Ovalhouse and the Royal Court, said today: "I am so excited to join the Gate Theatre as it celebrates its 35th year of ground-breaking work… I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this exceptional theatre in Notting Hill and am so pleased to start this journey."

Christopher Haydon commented: "I am thrilled to welcome Ruth Hawkins as our new producer at the Gate. She brings with her immense experience from both the Royal Court and Ovalhouse, as well as fantastic energy and great taste. I have no doubt that she will be a great asset to the Gate."
