Full cast for Bat Out Of Hell confirmed

The Jim Steinman musical will open in Manchester next year before a West End run

Full casting has been announced for Bat Out of Hell which will open at the London Coliseum next June.

Newcomer Andrew Polec will play the lead role of Strat with Christina Bennington (Sweeney Todd) taking on the role of Raven.

Jim Steinman's musical is a romantic adventure about rebellious youths. Steinman composed Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell albums, and the musical will feature the songs "I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That)", "Two Out Of Three Ain’t Bad", and the title track.

Rob Fowler (Rocky Horror Show) will play the role of Falco with Sharon Sexton (Billy Elliot) as Sloane.

The cast also includes Aran MacRae, Danielle Steers, Dom Hartley-Harri, Giovanni Spano, Patrick Sullivan, Jemma Alexander, Emily Benjamin, Stuart Boother, Georgia Carling, Natalie Chua, Jonathan Cordin, Amy Di Bartolomeo, Jordan Lee Davies, Olly Dobson, Hannah Ducharme, Phoebe Hart, Rosalind James, Michael Naylor, Eve Norris, Tim Oxbrow, Andrew Patrick-Walker, Benjamin Purkiss, Anthony Selwyn, Courtney Stapleton and Ruben Van keer.

The production will be directed by Jay Scheib (Powder her Face) with choreography by Emma Portner, musical arrangements by Michael Reed, set design by Jon Bausor and costume design by Meentje Nielsen.

Bat Out of Hell will feature video design by Finn Ross, lighting by Patrick Woodroffe, sound by Gareth Owen and orchestration by Steve Sidwell.

The production premieres on 17 February at Manchester Opera House before it opens in the West End on 5 June.
