Casting has been announced for the West End transfer of Conor McPherson's play Girl from the North Country.

The show originally opened at the Old Vic earlier this year to critical acclaim. Joining the production is Hannah Azuonye, Mary Doherty, David Ganly as Mr Burke, Adam James as Dr Walker, Karl Johnson as Mr Perry and Emmanuel Kojo.

They star alongside the returning cast which includes Sheila Atim, Ciaran Hinds, Shirley Henderson, Arinze Kene, Tim McMullan and Debbie Kurup.

The piece uses reworked versions of Bob Dylan songs, weaving them into a piece set in Minnesota in 1934, where a community huddles together in a local guesthouse.

The West End transfer runs at the Noel Coward Theatre from 29 December 2017 to 24 March 2018.

The vinyl cast recording of Girl from the North Country is also being released on 15 December. The cast recording is out not and available to buy on Amazon.

Girl from the North Country runs at the Noel Coward Theatre from 11 January to 24 March, with previews from 29 December.
