Owain Arthur returns to One Man, Two Guvnors in September

WhatsOnStage awards nominee Owain Arthur will return to play Francis Henshall in One Man, Two Guvnors at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket from 23 September 2013, following his run in the international tour of the production.

No stranger to the show, Arthur also previously played the role at Theatre Royal Haymarket in 2012, taking over from James Corden, and was Corden's understudy when the production was at the Adelphi Theatre. His other stage credits include The History Boys (National Theatre) and Romeo and Juliet (RSC).

Arthur will be joined by Angela Griffin as Dolly, who will be making her West End debut. Best known for her TV work, Griffin's credits include Coronation Street, Holby City, Cutting It and Waterloo Road.

Kellie Shirley and Peter Caulfield will reprise their roles of Pauline Clench and Alfie, previous played in the One Man, Two Guvnors touring productions. Dominic Thorburn (Macbeth, Our Country's Good) joins the cast to play Alan Dangle.

Current cast members Sam Alexander as Stanley Stubbers, David Benson as Gareth, Ian Burfield as Charlie Clench, Amy Cudden as Rachel Crabbe, Derek Elroy as Lloyd Boateng and Hugh Sachs as Harry Dangle will continue in their roles.

One Man, Two Guvnors, Richard Bean's 1960s Brighton-set re-working of Goldoni's classic A Servant of Two Masters, won Bean the 2012 WhatsOnStage award for Best New Comedy, and has had a Broadway run as well as UK and international tours.

The production is currently booking at the Theatre Royal Haymarket until 1 March 2014.
