Kingston Rose announces 2015 season
The Rose Theatre, Kingston has announced its 2015 season, which features two new in-house productions – Romeo Juliet directed by Sally Cookson and a new co-production of David Hare's The Absence of War, co-produced with Headlong and Sheffield Theatres.
Romeo Juliet, which runs from 28 February to 21 March 2015, reunites the creative team behind the Rose’s co-production of Hetty Feather, led by Cookson.
The Absence of War (14-25 April) is directed by Headlong's Jeremy Herrin, whose recent work includes Wolf Hall/Bring up the Bodies (RSC), The Nether (Headlong/Royal Court) and This House (National Theatre).
Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds presents two productions at the Rose next year, including Tim Firth's Sign of the Times (3-7 February) and Jerome K Jerome's classic Three Men in a Boat (12-14 February).
Northern Broadsides return to the Rose with Jonathan Miller's production of King Lear, starring Barrie Rutter in the title role.
The season also features John Boyne's bestselling novel The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas (28 April-2 May) live on stage as part of its first national tour that opens in Chichester in February.

The Rose is approaching its seventh year and I am delighted how far the Rose has come in these past few years and thrilled about how the theatre is moving forward."
