It was reprised for a run at the King's Head Theatre, Islington in February 2013 and will now be staged by the production team behind The Mystery of Edwin Drood and The Children of Eden Gala Concert for a UK tour.

The show, with music by Lucy Simon and book and lyrics by Marsha Norman, follows 11-year-old orphaned Mary Lennox as she befriends a local boy Dickson and discovers the mysterious garden in her new home.

The creative team includes director Matthew Gould and musical director David Keefe. Casting is still to be announced.

The Secret Garden will open at Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Guildford (11-12 October) before going on to Fairfields Hall, Croydon (30 October), the Alban Arena, St Albans (31 October), Trinity Theatre, Tunbridge Wells (1 November) and Buxton Opera House (2 November).

Tickets are on sale now.
