Starring Patrick Lynch from CBeebies and Carlo Rossi from Italian children's television, Snow Play is a magical look at the lives of Mr Green and Mr White. As Mr White covers Mr Green's house in snow, some cold but brilliant adventures ensue. Here is why Peter Lynch thinks you should see the show.
If you have small children or are long-term unemployed you might recognize me, Patrick Lynch, who presents programmes like Razzle Dazzle and Let’s Celebrate! Come and see Snow Play and discover if I really am that small in real life!
Also, if you watched any Italian children’s TV over the last decade you will surely know of Carlo Rossi who for ten years has played the part of Empirio in L’albero Azzuro (The Blue Tree) on Rai channel. Come and see if he really is as tall as he seems!
Apart from that you must not miss the beautiful visuals and breathtaking design from Marcello Chiarenza, our award-winning director and artist who has created all our shows for the last 10 years while also creating installations and circus-theatre events all over Europe.
Our music is written specifically for our shows by Carlo Cialdo Capelli who studied with Stockhausen and has also won awards for his ‘gentle, melodious music.’ (The Stage)
Another great reason to see the show is that it was developed in collaboration with the Lyric Hammersmith who have brought some great productions to the West End and all over the world including ‘Shock Headed Peter’ and ‘Ghost Stories’.
For those of you who like to join in, our interactive productions are a must. In Snow Play you can actually get your hands on our special snow, help to make a giant snowman and join in with a super snowball fight. For the younger or more timid ones you will have plenty of things to marvel at like Mr White’s funny snowman dance or Mr Green’s house getting covered in snow!
Finally, don’t just take our word for it, have a look at these extracts from some of our reviews and decide for yourself!
Snow Play runs from the 3-29 August at the Pleasance Courtyard at 11.20am.
