Kelly Polishes Pelvic Thrusts For Rocky Role

Scots
actor and comedian Gerard Kelly is set to pull on his stockings and
suspenders to play the Narrator in Richard O’Brien’s outrageous
classic The Rocky Horror Show in Aberdeen and
Edinburgh this summer.

The
musical, which is currently thrusting its way through the UK on an
extensive national tour and stars Olivier Award winner David
Bedella
as the celebrated Frank ‘n’ Furter. However, Bedella will
not be appearing in Edinburgh on 25 and 26 June.

Best
known for his starring role in City Lights as the
hapless would-be author Willie Melvin, Gerard Kelly has appeared in
many other comedies most notably Rab C Nesbitt and
Scotch & Wry and is a firm favourite during
the Scottish panto season.

The
Rocky Horror Show
has seduced audiences all over the world
for more than 30 years, achieving cult status and featuring timeless
classics such as ‘Sweet Transvestite’, ‘Damit Janet’ and ‘The Time
Warp’.

The
musical tells the story of engaged sweethearts Brad and Janet who are
forced to seek refuge in a castle full of the maddest, baddest and
sexiest group the world has ever seen.

Since premiering, the stage
show has been in almost continuous production, and the cinematic
version – starring Richard O’Brien as Riff Raff – is one of the
best known and most ardently followed films of all time.
