The production, which is directed by artistic director Jonathan Church, will run from 21 July to 5 September 2015 (previews from 13 July) in the Festival Theatre.

The tour will then run from 1 October to 6 December visiting: Plymouth Theatre Royal, Manchester Opera House, Dublin's BGE Theatre, Edinburgh Playhouse, Nottingham Theatre Royal and Cardiff Wales Millennium Centre.

Michael Ball will star in Mack and Mabel

Mack and Mabel sees Ball returning to Chichester for the first time since his WhatsOnStage Award-winning performance in Sweeney Todd. Further casting is still to be announced.

Choreography is by Chichester associate Stephen Mear (The Pajama Game, Kiss Me, Kate, Mary Poppins), with design by Robert Jones (Taken At Midnight, Kiss Me, Kate, Calendar Girls).

Written by Jerry Herman and Michael Stewart, Mack and Mabel tells the story of the relationship between Hollywood director Mack Sennett and movie star Mabel Normand.

Further information, including booking dates and ticket prices, will be announced at the end of February.
