Young actors/actresses needed in Liverpool

Performers Youth Theatre is searching for young people to audition and be part of its next production at Liverpool’s Unity Theatre.

Its production of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet will follow on from the group’s adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic David Copperfield in April this year.

The auditions for parts take place at Performers Theatre School, 1 Maryland Street, just off Hope Street, in Liverpool on the following dates:

Friday 6 November – 7.30pm-9pm

Saturday 7 November – 6pm-9pm

Sunday 8 November – 6pm-9pm

The auditions are open to anyone aged 14-20 years of age who can attend any of the above dates and must be able to commit to rehearsals on the lead up to the production. Attendees must prepare and perform a Shakespearean piece no longer than two minutes in length.

Those successful can build on their acting and musical talents and members of the youth theatre have subsequently been selected to appear on stage by leading producers in professional productions such as Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Evita, Annie, Scrooge, Doctor Dolittle, Twopence To Cross the Mersey and many more.
