Grimm Tales at Theatre By the Lake and Library

To bring their celebratory 10th anniversary season to a close, Theatre by the Lake is presenting six of the best traditional tales from the Brothers Grimm, retold in bold, theatrical style. A similar production will also be staged at the Library Theatre in Manchester.

Grimm Tales promises to be a highly imaginative and inventive show that is sure to entertain, delight and surprise, where everyday objects become something quite different and live percussion music comes from the most unlikely sources. This thrilling and amusing collection includes versions of Hansel and Gretel, Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast – a selection box of the very best folk tales offering seasonal entertainment for all the family

The Theatre by The Lake production is adapted by Carol Ann Duffy directed by Stefan Escreet.  It runs from 28 Nov – 9 Jan.

The Library Theatre production is directed by Rachael O’Riordan and runs from 5 Dec – 23 Jan.
