Wirral-based Floral Pavilion is searching for dancers to appear in its pantomime this year.

Auditions for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will be held at the theatre in New Brighton on Thursday 24 September, with registration at 5pm and auditions at 5.30pm.

They’re open to male and female dancers, aged 16 years old and above, who are no taller than 5ft 6ins.

Anyone who attends will be under the scrutiny of choreographer Rita Proctor who will also audition for the Senior Girl and Boy Dancers.

All candidates also must have strong jazz and ballet technique to join the cast and therefore become a member of the Rita Proctor Teensteppers.

The Prince and the Fairy will be played by members of the band Scooch that represented the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest, while legendary comedian Ken Dodd will make an appearance in film as the Magic Mirror.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs opens at the Floral Pavilion on Saturday, 19 December, and runs until 10 January 2010.

Meanwhile, mid-Wales Opera’s new production of Mozart’s ever popular The Marriage of Figaro appears at the theatre on 25 September.

And Bill Kenwright’s musical production of Cabaret runs from 5 to 10 October at the Floral, which stars renowned dancer and television celebrity Wayne Sleep reprising his role as the Emcee.
