Library hold Actor’s Toolbox Workshop, 10 Sept

The Library Theatre Company continues its programme of actors’ workshops on Friday 10/Saturday 11 September 2010 with a two-day workshop entitled The Actors’ Toolbox which will explore a variety of acting techniques and approaches to classic and contemporary plays.

Aimed at professional actors whatever their level of experience, the two-day workshop concentrates on audition technique, breaking down the audition procedure from the preliminary script preparation to the recall stages. The workshop, which will take place at the Zion Arts Centre in Hulme in Manchester on Friday 10/Saturday 11 September, will be led by Katie Lewis, who trained on the Master of Fine Arts course in Theatre Directing at Birkbeck College, London, and as a Resident Assistant Director at The Library Theatre.

Katie will be joined by actor Natalie Grady, who trained at Drama Centre in London. As well as appearances in productions for the National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company, and Shakespeare’s Globe, Natalie recently starred as Gwendolen in the Library Theatre’s production of The Importance of Being Earnest. Natalie is also a professional voice coach and teaches and directs at the Arden School of Theatre in Manchester.

Places are limited – to book a place on the course at £60, visit the Library Theatre website here.
