Temp/Casual Premieres at 24:7

Temp/Casual is a new play written by Stephen Timms; actor, writer and WOS Northwest reviewer and is being premiered at this month’s 24:7 Theatre Festival. The festival runs from 20 to 26 July at various venues in Manchester.

The play follows a group of media studies graduates as they get to grips with the fact that their ambitions have not been met. Susan wants to act, yet is trapped in a suffocating relationship, and dead end data entry job. Collague Vicky enjoys a sideline as a web-cam dominatrix and Susan is tempted to join her. Adam stacks lager in a Rusholme off license, He wants to be a stand-up comedian but is to busy selling drugs.

Temp/Casual is presented by Spent Ambition, a new theatre company, based in the city. The play is directed by Ben Power and stars Leon Jan, Kate Newton, Marlon Soloman, Karl Dobby, David Corden, Julie-Chapman-Lavelle and Isobel McArthur.

The play runs from 20 to 26 July at New Century House.
